Do you offer in person sessions?
It's a common belief that online work may not be as effective as in-person sessions. However, Emotional Release is centered on your personal connection with yourself. I facilitate this process by directing your attention to your body, which doesn't require us to be physically together. Moreover, there are additional advantages to having your session in your own space.
The most important factor that will determine whether you are able to go deep in a session to connect with your body, feel your emotions and allow yourself to release is whether you feel safe. In most cases being in your own surroundings gives you a greater level of comfort and safety than being in a foreign space. Releasing emotions can also be draining, and being somewhere you can rest immediately afterward, if needed, is advantageous.
What is the difference between Emotional Release and other talk therapies?
While traditional talk therapies emphasise discussing your problems, Emotional Release directs attention toward being present in your body. The crux of a session isn't merely verbalising issues—it's about experiencing bodily sensations and expressing emotions. This is because we must fully feel emotions to effectively process and release them. Sensation in the body is pivotal; it's the gateway to shifting stagnant energy and emotions within. Emotional Release facilitates this transformation.
Is this work suitable for children?
As a child your nervous system naturally synchronises with those around you, forming an energetic bond that deeply influences your emotional development. In childhood you're significantly impacted by the emotional well-being of your caregivers. When adults engage in emotional work, the positive energetic shifts they undergo ripple outwards, benefiting those around them. As a parent the best thing you can do for your child is to work on yourself. It’s especially beneficial for both mothers and children who have had a traumatic birth. My own journey into Emotional Release work was sparked by the need to address suppressed emotions from the birth of my eldest son. Upon releasing these emotions, I witnessed transformative changes in both his behaviour and energetic state.
I have a lot going on in my life right now. Should I wait to begin when I have more time?
As humans, we instinctively shy away from discomfort, often seeking excuses to remain within our comfort zones. The reality is, there may never be a perfect moment to begin because there will always be something looming on the horizon that you’ll use as an excuse to keep you in your comfort zone. When you release the emotions that are holding you back, you’ll more easily be able to move through life, especially when faced with challenging situations. Perhaps prioritising this inner work is precisely what you need to navigate your current circumstances effectively. If you're reading this, perhaps it's a subtle sign that the time is ripe for you to embark on this journey.
I think my partner needs to do this work? How can I convince them to do it?
It’s tempting to attribute your emotions to others and wish for changes in those around you to improve your life. However, the reality is that by focusing on your own growth, you hold the key to transforming your energy, perspective, and how others perceive you. Holding onto emotions like anger and resentment can hinder effective communication, often causing others to feel defensive and threatened. Emotional Release work provides a supportive framework for releasing these emotions, empowering you to overcome barriers that impede being heard or understood.
How many sessions will I need?
Just as you wouldn’t expect to go to the gym once and become fit and toned, you can’t expect to unravel years of emotional habits and patterns overnight. However, the more committed to this work you are, the more likely you can expect to experience profound changes. Everyone is different and energy work is subtle. I give you exercises and ideas for you to work on outside of sessions allowing you to make the progress you’re committed to achieving.
I’m not sure I can afford it—do you offer payment plans?
It’s so common to resist investing in emotional healing and personal growth. Yet, this is arguably the most impactful investment you can make – one that has the power to transform every area of your life.
We don’t hesitate to spend money on clothes, home decor, travel, dining out or material comforts—things that bring temporary comfort and pleasure but don’t create lasting change. What truly shapes your life, your well-being, and your relationships isn’t found in external upgrades— true, long-term transformation comes from within.
When you prioritise emotional healing, you cultivate greater self-awareness, resilience, and deeper, more fulfilling relationships—with yourself and others. This isn’t just self-care; it’s the foundation for the life you truly desire.
My standard approach is for payment to be made upfront, as this represents the ultimate commitment to yourself and your well-being. However, I also understand that financial circumstances vary, and I’m happy to explore a payment plan if needed so that you can receive the support you deserve.
